"Your coaching helped me realize what kind of student/father/husband I can be. The skills and techniques you taught me about time management and prioritization were vital to my success. Every time we met I felt like I was leaving with another assignment that was designed to help me succeed and deal with all of life's juggling balls. You've heard me say it before but I'm glad we got to meet. You made college easier and for that I am forever thankful."

"In the capacity in which we worked together, I benefited from your compassionate listening. You also modeled incredible communication skills and boundary setting when you spoke up in a group about a sensitive issue, when no one else appeared they were going to speak up. And, when you have made suggestions, which were never forced, they were thought provoking and felt to me like you had my best interests in mind when you made them."

"I think of our sessions often and still have so much gratitude for our time together. I was going through a really rough time when the coaching sessions began. I think it was because of coaching I was able to identify things that could be improved in my life that were practical fixes... example: I wanted to get more music performance work within the Milwaukee area. Our discussions allowed me the time to think and talk through what that would look like and how to go about achieving that goal. Not long after our session I was able to secure a talent agency that books me regularly and it's still working - so much so that another agency is booking me, as well as my band. I set the boundaries and the work is non-stop.
I think I would have still been spinning my wheels had it not been for you coaching me throughout 2021. I believe I'm more confident in my choices because I think them through and weigh the pros and cons. It's like the coaching sessions gave me permission to show up for myself. For that, and so much more, I'll be forever grateful."

"Nancy has been so helpful during my college career. As an international student I found her time management tips, organizational advice and prioritization of goals the core reasons of my success at MATC. I was able to graduate MATC with a 4.0 GPA and I attribute most of my success to the coaching program. I would recommend Nancy and this program in general for anyone who feels lost or overwhelmed in college!!"

I honestly don't remember the specific questions you asked me that helped me shift. What I do remember is how you made me feel, which for me is the most critical.
You have a lovely way about you (your presence) that makes me fell safe; that I can say anything I want or need to say. There's no judgement. I feel like you're truly listening, which is evident when you make your reflections and honestly care about what I want for my life, or the change I'm trying to make. You want for me, what I want for me. That is clear. And its critical in forming trust in the coach/client relationship.
You're also particularly good at untangling the weeds when I dump a bunch of stuff on you all at once. That unpacking the suitcase thing can get messy. But you pick up the ball and run with it, turning a mess into something that feels understood and manageable. That's a real skill and gives me hope that life isn't as bad as it can sometimes feel when it's all in my head.
Thanks again!"

"Nancy Crosby was a major help to me while I was in school. I’ve had many guidance counselors and life coaches in the past that would tear me down, make me feel worse about myself, or just be no help at all, but Nancy was totally different.
The first thing Nancy did was actually listen to me which helped my walls begin to come down. She recognized my strengths, encouraged me to use them, and helped me build up my confidence. These were things I needed, I just had no idea how much I needed them.
One requirement I feared most in school was a gaming class because I had to be part of a team and communicate. Having autism makes that especially challenging for me, and Nancy helped me prepare through brainstorming, watching tutorials and practicing various scenarios. I was very thankful for her help.
"I wouldn’t have been able to go through any of this without the help from Nancy."
Nancy helped me rate my self-confidence, self-esteem, and self-worth. She helped me evaluate good and bad points about choices, see the possible outcomes, and more easily make better choices.
I trusted Nancy, her abilities, and her smarts more than anyone else at MATC. She helped me connect with my work ethic, and I was growing and maturing as a student with increased self-awareness, increased self-confidence, and increased self-esteem. I was starting to know how to handle and deal with problems, even without her help. I was able to think about what I was in control of and how I could use that to influence what I wasn’t in control of, focusing more on the process and less on the outcome which made me not so anxious. I was finally part of a great successful team with a product that worked well.
Thanks to everything I learned from Nancy over the years I was able to overcome challenges and prove to everyone that I really am the dedicated, hardworking student who cares about his career that I said I was.
I wouldn’t have been able to go through any of this without the help from Nancy. It’s probably become noticeable at this point how far Nancy is willing to go to help out her clients.
I wouldn’t have been able to go through any of this without the help from Nancy."
